teenagers cause stress
So I was exposed to this list of stressful things in your life and how many points they were worth. The number of points that being a parent of a teenager pushed me over to the next level. Now, I thought that having a teenager was stressful, but that just confirmed it. I have even gone as far as dropping out of a few things because of dealings with a teenager. I figured I just couldn't handle stress, but apparently they are worth a larger number of stress points than average. So I asked my self why since I know it is just not me. I figure they can cause stress in many different ways. If they are high achieving, highly involved teenagers, they are constantly stressed about grades and balanceing activities so it can carry over to the parent. If the teen is completely opposite of that then the parent stresses about how the teen will ever make it out of high school and into the future. Either way, this time is way more stressful than previous years including middle school and surviving possible bullying.
